Making sense of and preparing for the new Education Inspection Framework

Ofsted’s new Education Inspection Framework will be introduced in September 2019. With a change to the judgement areas and a new focus on quality of education, this one-day course is here to provide school leaders with the opportunity to get ahead and prepare for key inspection changes


  • Become familiar with the main changes in the new framework and inspection arrangements
  • Understand what Ofsted determine contributes to the quality of education and what school leaders need to prioritise in order to meet and surpass new performance measures;
  • Reflect on what effective leadership and management provision looks like and understand what should be demonstrated for inspection
  • Learn what Ofsted expect your school should be covering to assist the personal development of pupils and how this will be inspected
  • Explore how pupils develop positive attitudes for learning and learn how your management of behaviour and attitudes will be inspected
  • Reflect on the early years curriculum and how effective it is in ensuring children get off to the best start in the school
